How much lift can you put on a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited with 33 inch tires before it starts looking weird?

March11

I just purchased a 2008 Wrangler Unlimited, and It came witha 2 inch lift with 33 inch tires. I would like to lift it some more. How high is too high while keeping the 33 inch tires

i put a 13 inch fab tec long arm lift with 33×12.5 and it dont look weird its looks tight.but 44in super swampers would be alot better looking.the gears i have now just wont push them

It sounds like you’ve got a great set up right now. I wouldn’t change a thing. Keep in mind you’ve got a Jeep. Suspension is their thing, so you’ve probably got more off-road functionality than let’s say a full-sized pickup with a 6″ lift.

4.5″ with non M/T 33″s will look funny!!!

Just get 35’s on the rims as you will have enough room with out rubbing with a 2″ lift. 33’s fit without a lift no rubbing issues depending on the rim Backspacing or if you add 1.5inch spacers to the stock rims.

I would not go any higher than a 2.5″ Budget Boost on a JK unlimited with 33’s. The tires will look to small. The 35’s will look great with a 2 inch lift….if you go 3 or more inch lift….get some 37’s!
