I put $4,000 down on a Jeep Wrangler. The entire sale with taxes, tags, etc. was $17,160. I want to trade this Jeep in as soon as possible. I do not want to put down any more cash for this deal, since I already parted with $4000. What price car can I get? Also, can someone please explain to me how this process works? Very new to this car stuff…
Another thing is, I just bought the car three days ago. I HATE it, but I don’t think that the car dealer from which I bought it will let me return it and get my money back.

You can try going ot the dealer and see if they will trade for something else, but don’t expect anywhere near as much trad in value as what you paid for it. did you not test drive the Jeep before you bought it? I know car dealers can be pushy, but you are the customer, so push right back. Test drive it, give it a day or two, and test drive it again. Some will even l;et you keep it overnight to make the decision.
if you go back and swap that jeep you are going to take a bath on the price. By that I mean you will loose thousands, yes thousands, not hundreds…thousands of dollars.
Your best bet is to deal with the car for at least a couple years, maybe 1.5. Make double payments when ever you can and get yourself right side up. you may have put 4k down, but you lost most of it when you drove off the lot. With the current state of chrysler, resale prices are at rock bottom.
chalk it up as a learning experience, when buying a car YOU must be in control. Also, you should’ve test driven it for more that 5 minutes, if you even did that.
